Hop Education Abroad "Kickstart your Summer" Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility:
The "Kickstart your Summer" Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution. Employees of Hop Education Abroad, their immediate family members, and those living in the same household are not eligible to participate.

2. How to Enter:
To enter the sweepstakes, participants must:

• Follow Hop Education Abroad on Instagram at @hop.education.

• Like the official sweepstakes post.

• Tag 3 friends in the comments of the official sweepstakes post.

• Share the official sweepstakes post to their Instagram story.

For additional entries, participants may enter via TikTok or Hop Education Abroad's website: 

• Enter sweepstakes via TikTok

  • Follow Hop Education Abroad on TikTok at @hop.education.

  • Like the official sweepstakes TikTok.

  • Tag 3 friends in the comments of the official sweepstakes TikTok.

• Submit their information via a form on www.hop.education/kickstart-your-summer.

Limit: Participants may only submit one (1) form entry but can earn multiple entries (up to 3 total entries) by additionally participating on Instagram and TikTok. All entries must be received during the Entry Period to qualify.

3. Entry Period:
The sweepstakes begins at 10:00 AM (CST) January 29, 2025, and runs for eight weeks, ending at 11:59 PM (CST) on March 28th, 2025 (the "Entry Period"). Entries submitted outside this period will not be considered.

4. Prizes:​

Grand Prize: One (1) grand prize winner will receive the following:

• Participation in the Heart of Europe study abroad program in Pécs, Hungary, during July 2025.

• Prize package includes:

  • Summer tuition (European Studies course)

  • Cozy twin-share dormitory accommodations

  • Local day excursions

  • Airport reception and pickup

  • Hop Orientation

  • 24/7 Hop support and access to a Hop Go-To (similar to a Resident Director)

  • Pre-departure advising

Estimated value of the prize: $3,750 USD.

Note: The prize does not include international airfare, meals not covered by the program, travel insurance, or any additional personal expenses.

5. Selection of Winners:

• One (1) winner will be randomly selected using an automated system from all eligible entries received via Instagram, TikTok, and the Hop Education Abroad website.

• The winner will be notified via the platform used to enter (Instagram/TikTok direct message or email for website entries).

• The winner must respond to the notification within 72 hours to claim the prize. Failure to respond will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.

6. Prize Conditions:

• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• The grand prize winner is responsible for all applicable taxes and fees associated with the prize.

• The grand prize trip must be taken in July 2025; specific dates will be provided by Hop Education Abroad.

• Any changes or cancellations of the prize trip are subject to Hop Education Abroad’s discretion.

7. Publicity:
By participating in this sweepstakes, entrants agree to allow Hop Education Abroad to use their name, likeness, and entry submission for promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

8. Social Media Disclaimer:

This sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or TikTok. By participating, entrants release Instagram and TikTok from any liability arising from or related to this sweepstakes.

9. Fraud Prevention

Hop Education Abroad reserves the right to disqualify any entries suspected of being fraudulent, submitted through the use of bots, or not in compliance with these Terms and Conditions. Entrants are expected to participate in good faith.

10. General Conditions:
Hop Education Abroad reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the sweepstakes if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the contest. In such case, Hop Education Abroad may select winners from eligible entries received prior to the action taken.

11. Limitation of Liability:
By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Hop Education Abroad and its affiliates, employees, and agents from any liability, injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this sweepstake or the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize won.

12. Governing Law:
This sweepstake is governed by the laws of the United States and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

13. Data Privacy:

By entering, participants consent to the collection, use, and storage of their personal information for the purpose of administering the sweepstakes. Personal information will not be sold or shared with third parties unrelated to the contest.
