Come and get a small insight into Estonian food culture! During this workshop, you will learn a little about the origin and nature of common Estonian dishes. During the hands-on workshop, you make and taste some easy-to-cook food and get tips on what products to choose from the market for a more authentic experience. The dishes are prepared from Estonian raw materials and give a brief overview of the dishes on the Estonians’ table. The workshop is led by home economics lecturers who have experience in conducting student practicums and introducing Estonian food culture to various target groups.

This course is ideal for anyone looking to improve their writing skills in English and is the perfect preparation for written component of IELTS, Cambridge English and TOEFL exams, as well as for those who are just looking to practice and improve their general written English. Each lesson will focus on a different form of written English – E-Mails and Correspondence, Essay-Writing, Reports, and Blogging and Social Media, CVs and Resumes, discussing the structure, form, tone and conventions surrounding each different form. The lessons will be accompanied by grammar and vocabulary to help you construct your text, enrich your language, build forceful arguments and convincing conclusions, and will give students the chance to practice writing and receive feedback from a native-speaker and experienced teacher of English.

Data has become one of the most powerful ways we understand the world, from how societies and cultures evolve to how individuals make daily decisions. Yet data on its own rarely speaks clearly. It needs to be organized, interpreted, and communicated effectively. Visualization plays a central role in this process as it transforms numbers into stories, makes complex patterns visible, allows us to see relationships that are otherwise hidden, and thus to make right data-informed decisions. This course offers students a comprehensive introduction to the theory and practice of data visualization based on the principles behind clear, ethical, and impactful visual communication. Across two intensive weeks, participants will learn how to read, critique, and design effective visualizations, as well as how to apply theoretical frameworks (such as perceptual psychology and design principles) to practical examples using Python programming language, modern plotting libraries, and AI. Students will also engage with questions of ethics, misrepresentation, and persuasion in data visualization, as they develop a critical and creative approach.

The digital era needs digital solutions. Digital solutions can prevent and manage healthcare issues faster and more effectively both at the personal and societal levels. E-health innovations are proved to promoting health and behavior change in various health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, etc. However, developing effective technological solutions for behavior change requires an interdisciplinary approach. While the competence of designing and selecting effective technologies is essential, that is still incomplete without an understanding of evidence-based behavioral change theories and techniques.
