Summer General Clinical Internships in Vietnam
General Clinical Internship is designed for undergraduate students in pre-med, pre-nursing, public health, and related health sciences who seek broad exposure to hospital-based clinical practice.
Students join the hospital’s clinical externship program, which emphasizes multi-department observation. The internship introduces participants to patient care, medical procedures, and the Vietnamese healthcare system, providing a solid foundation for future healthcare professionals.
What to Expect
Main tasks include shadowing ward rounds, surgical procedures and post-operative care under the guidance of doctors and nurses in various hospital departments, observe clinical activities in Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, ICU, and Rehabilitation. You will be exposed to the role of diagnostic services (X-ray, MRI, lab tests) in supporting clinical decision-making and learn about infection control, hospital workflow, and patient record management. You will participate in reflective sessions on medical ethics, cross-cultural patient care, and healthcare challenges in Vietnam.
The Breakdown
Choose from a six or eight week placement at Viet Duc University Hospital in Hanoi. Established in 1906, this is Vietnam's premier surgical and trauma center, with over 1,500 beds and a strong reputation for advanced surgery and patient care. Located in central Hanoi, the hospital is also a major teaching and research institution, training thousands of medical students, nurses, and specialists each year.

Summer Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy Internships in Vietnam
Our summer Internship is designed for undergraduate and graduate students in occupational/physical therapy, rehabilitation sciences, kinesiology, exercise or sports science or related disciplines.
Students will be based at the HCMC Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City The hospital specializes in rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, traditional medicine, and general healthcare services.
What to Expect
The program combines clinical observation, rehabilitation training, and cultural immersion, giving students the opportunity to:
Observe and learn how physiotherapy is practiced in different healthcare settings
Gain exposure to both modern rehabilitation techniques and traditional medicine in Vietnam
Strengthen communication, reflection, and cross-cultural skills when working with diverse patients
Build early professional competencies to prepare for future graduate study or a career in physical therapy
The Breakdown
Interns will work with both physiotherapists and medical doctors with an opportunity to observe medical conditions and injuries ranging from patients that have ACL tears or sprains to children patients with Cerebral Palsy. Working across a range of departments, interns will observe patients affected with strokes, scoliosis, tuberculosis, musculoskeletal disorder, idiopathic scoliosis, and bone fractures. Interns will be involved with diagnostic imaging tests: X-rays and MRIs and also observe and learn about traditional medicine interventions unique to Vietnam.
This internship also includes 20 hours of Vietnamese language lessons and cultural excursions.

This internship offers a rare chance to build your hospitality career at one of Vietnam’s most iconic brands while immersing yourself in a vibrant culture defined by service, community, and innovation.
What to Expect
Interns are placed across key departments that make a resort thrive, including Front Desk and Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales and Marketing, Event Management, Spa and Wellness, and Concierge Services. You’ll gain a behind-the-scenes look at the operations of a five-star resort, develop intercultural communication skills, and experience the fast-paced energy of one of Asia’s fastest-growing tourism markets.
The Breakdown
Interns live in on-site hotel dormitory housing provided, sharing rooms with other local and international interns. Three meals per day are included at the staff canteen, along with a monthly allowance of USD 150–300, depending on placement and experience. Vinpearl also provides daily staff transportation, and a monthly travel allowance to and from the resort.
