the rundown
Imagine studying in an Australian castle overlooking spectacular Manly Beach, soaking in both knowledge and sun. That's what the International College of Management Sydney (or ICMS for short) is all about. It's a special place where students from over 40 countries come together, learning from professors who are industry leaders in their fields, managing hotels, executing events, and more. A stunning campus in an equally stunning city.

your academic journey
ICMS isn't your typical college. It started off focusing on hospitality and tourism but has grown into a hub for all things business. Whether you're into accounting, sports management, or event planning, they've got you covered. And for hospitality students, there's an exclusive opportunity to intern at Sydney’s five-star hotels over the summer— and yes, it's paid!
Nestled atop a picturesque cliff and overlooking Sydney Harbour, the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS), known fondly as "the castle on the hill," is more than just a breathtaking landmark. This historical gem, originally constructed between 1885 and 1889 as St Patrick’s College, was the first National Catholic Seminary in Australia, designed in an exquisite blend of Neo-Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles. Now, it stands as a premier destination for over 1,800 international students, offering degrees across a variety of disciplines.
ICSM is all about equipping students with top-tier skills and knowledge to thrive in their chosen fields— that’s what has landed them in Australia's top programs for hospitality and event management.

To better help represent data, map themes, identify market trends and complete a site analysis, students will also be introduced to a Geographic Spatial Analysis (GIS) program. Spatial analysis is widely used in the valuation, management and development of property. Once created the map lends itself to manipulation to visually see impact of changes in inputs if they were to occur and thereby try to solve challenging problems.Advanced Social Media Marketing

You've got options from single to quad rooms, all meals sorted, and you're just a short walk or free shuttle ride from the beach and the shops. Plus, your room comes with all the essentials, and there's a common area on each floor for hanging out. Did we mention Nicole Kidman got married here?

local vibes
ICMS and Hop make sure your time in Sydney isn't all study, work and no play. You'll get to check out some amazing spots around the city and surrounding country, plus dive into the local culture, with our included excursions and our special ‘Hop-Up’ events.

Students start their journey with a Welcome to Country led by Indigenous elder Delta Kay, gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural and spiritual significance of the Bundjalung land they will call home.
Beyond structured sessions, students kayak with dolphins, practice morning yoga, and stay at Crystalbrook Byron, a sustainability-driven hotel nestled in subtropical rainforest. The result? A mindset shift that prioritizes well-being, cultural awareness, and community from day one—helping students start their semester with a strong foundation.

Through interactive sessions with experts like Tim Jack Adams (wellness strategist) and Dr. Jodie Bradman (clinical psychologist), students explore resilience, stress management, and personal well-being strategies to navigate the challenges of studying abroad.

Renowned wellness chef Samantha Gowing leads a hands-on workshop on food as medicine, teaching students how to fuel their bodies on a budget while embracing Australia’s vibrant food culture.

Gabby

“Studying abroad with Hop has truly been the best decision I have ever made. In a short amount of time, I have explored the lively rainforests and the shimmering Great Barrier Reef. I've climbed mountains, sat at the edge of waterfalls, and even surfed the waves of the Gold Coast. I've met so many new friends from different backgrounds who unite on the same goal of discovering and learning, and I couldn’t have done that without Hop.”
