What should we do and why? What should we believe and why? The course, running during the first semester, offers an advanced introduction to concepts, topics, and arguments in contemporary ethics and epistemology, both separately as well as highlighting their mutual relations. The course covers material, which is normally not covered at undergraduate level, while also offering an entry point for those who have not studied philosophy before.

The course is divided into three inter-related thematic blocks: Meaning, Intention, and Communication (the role played by mental states in linguistic communication); Mind-Reading (how are we able to know the minds of others); the Materially and Socially Extended Mind (to what extent, and in what way, does the world constitute the mind around it).

The subject of the course is the physical processes in aerosol. Main characteristics and microstructure of aerosol, steady and chaotic motion of the particles, electrical and optical effects in aerosols, generation and transformation of aerosols, and experimental methods of the aerosol investigation are considered. In particular, atmospheric aerosols and their role by formation of the weather and climate is treated.

Algebraic number theory is a branch of number theory that uses certain techniques of algebra to study the integer and rational numbers, and their generalizations. Number-theoretic questions are expressed in terms of properties of algebraic objects such as number fields and their ring of integers. These properties, such as whether a ring of the generalized integers admits unique factorization or behaviour of its ideals can help to solve important questions in number theory, like the existence of solutions to Fermat's equation. Other important results such as structure of the group of units in ring of the generalized integers or finiteness of ideal class groups are based on certain geometric methods in algebraic number theory. Traditionally, algebraic number theory includes some analytic methods such as studying analytic properties of the Riemann zeta function and the so-called L-function. This study leads to Dirichlet's Theorem about primes in arithmetic progressions. The course will be based on the book "Algebraic Number Theory" by Frazer Jarvis. The chapter about the analytic methods will be included in the course if we have time.

This course provides an overview of the different types of algorithms and their design principles, as well as the key concepts in the analysis of their time and space complexity.
