This course explores the development, function, and culture of medieval towns, with a particular focus on the Baltic region and Livonia. Students will engage with medieval history research methods, sources, and literature to understand the urban landscape of the Middle Ages. Lectures will introduce the economic and social functions of towns, explore the rise of trade networks, and delve into the culture and social life of medieval citizens. We do not have a set GPA requirement to participate in our programs—we believe in making global experiences as accessible as possible. However, some of our international university partners or your home institution may set their own academic eligibility criteria.
Tallinn University requires good academic standing and approval from your home institution. There is no minimum GPA.
