The curse examines migration movements in prehistoric, ancient and medieval times, migration during the colonial era and in modern time (in the context of industrialisation, colonistion and growth of the mobility) and in globalised world. It gives an introduction to the main areas and theoretical orientation of the migration studies and explains the types of migration motivations (voluntary and forced migration), adaptation and integration, transmigration and transnationality, the identity of diaspora and migrants relations with their motherland.

Writing legal memorandum: selecting legal issues to be covered; choosing arguments in support of a legal issue; ordering issues; format of a legal memorandum; answering questions from the bench; the statement of facts; summary of the argument; point headings; synthesizing the law and precedents from the client’s perspective; arguing your facts; rebutting opposing arguments and authority; writing the conclusion; proper citation format.
