INNOVATION (3 credits)
From problem identification to creating a solution, you can take your idea from zero to one. Innovation is the process of coming up with new and diverse ideas and ways of working. This course provides critical tools for problem identification and value creation, a key competency for studying and working in entrepreneurial environments and innovative companies. You will learn how to investigate customer/user needs and create value propositions for them through a new business model. The combination of real-world and theoretically-based evaluation techniques taught in this subject can be applied to entrepreneurship and innovation in any context.
YOU (3 credits)
Understanding yourself—your values, goals, purpose, and character strengths—is central to developing the mindset, skillset, and toolset needed to thrive as a leader in complex and uncertain futures. This course takes you on a journey of self-reflection and understanding, supporting you in exploring various career options and showcasing your unique personal brand. Drawing from relevant theories and evidence, the course allows you to apply these principles through self-reflective practices, interpersonal skill development, and the creation of self-development goals and plans, ultimately enhancing your leadership capabilities.
INTERNSHIP
Working with a small Southeast Asian startup on Koh Phangan offers a unique opportunity to gain a diverse range of career skills. As an intern, you'll immerse yourself in the dynamic startup environment, engaging in tasks such as market research, digital marketing, and customer outreach. You’ll collaborate on product development, participate in brainstorming sessions, and contribute to the creation of innovative solutions. Additionally, you'll gain hands-on experience in project management, learning to balance multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Networking at industry events will enhance your communication skills and build your professional connections. This internship will equip you with practical skills, global perspectives, and the adaptability needed to thrive in any career.
